Welcome to Comfer! This Privacy Policy explains what information Comfer uses and, more importantly, what it doesn't. Comfer is an Android launcher application created by an individual developer, Jeerovan, with your privacy as the top priority.

Our goal is to give you a clean, minimal, and private launcher experience.

Our Privacy Promise

We believe in true privacy, which is why we built Comfer on these core principles:

  • We do not collect personal information. Your name, email, location, contacts, and other personal data are never collected, stored, or sent to us.
  • We do not track you. Comfer does not include any user analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party code that would monitor your activity.
  • Your data stays on your device. All your launcher settings and usage information remain exclusively on your phone or tablet.

Information We Use (Only On Your Device)

To function as a launcher, Comfer needs to access a list of the applications installed on your device. This is necessary to display them in your app drawer so you can find and open them.

This list of apps never leaves your device. It is not sent to our servers or any third party.

Why Comfer Needs Permissions

Comfer asks for a few permissions to enable its features. Here is a simple explanation for each one:

  • Access Installed Apps: This is a core requirement for any launcher. It allows Comfer to see and show you a list of all your installed apps so you can launch them.
  • Internet Access: Used only to download beautiful wallpapers from our server for your home screen. No other data is sent or received.
  • Set Wallpaper: Allows the app to change your home screen wallpaper when you select one inside Comfer.
  • Set Alarms: Lets you create system alarms using widgets or shortcuts provided by the launcher.
  • Expand Status Bar: Enables a convenient gesture (like a swipe) to open your notification panel.

Data Storage and Security

Any data Comfer uses, such as your settings for the launcher, is stored securely and locally on your device's internal storage. This data is automatically deleted if you uninstall the application. We do not create backups of your settings on our servers.

Children's Privacy

Comfer does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The application is designed to be completely offline regarding personal data. If you believe we have inadvertently come into contact with such information, please contact us so we can address the situation.
